From the UPI Constitution: "The
officers of each chapter shall include but not be restricted to a chapter
president, chapter vice-president and a treasurer. Chapter officers shall
be elected by the membership of each chapter to a three-year term of office
at the same time as election of the local officers."

WIU-F / UPI CHAPTER PRESIDENT
Job Description --
The chapter president is the presiding officer at all general meetings of
the chapter and the executive committees. The president represents the chapter
where and when necessary.
Time Commitment --
Approximately an average of 25 hours per week during the academic year.
Duties continue through the summer (but the demands are reduced during that
time of year). Typically travels to Chicago or other in-state location 6
times per academic year to attend UPI Local 4100 meetings.
Compensation -- See
Article 8.3 of UPI/WIU Agreement. Chapter president teaches one course per
semester during the academic year. He/she typically also receives one-month’s
pay (3 ACEs) during the summer.
UPI EXECUTIVE BOARD REPRESENTATIVE
Job Description --
The Local 4100 Executive Board representative shall assist the chapter president
in serving as a link between Local 4100 and the chapter.
Time Commitment -- Typically
travels to Chicago or other in-state location 6 times per academic year
to attend UPI Local meetings.
Compensation -- Travel
expenses paid by UPI Local 4100. Duties may be listed under 'Service' in
the formal evaluation process.
WIU-F / UPI CHAPTER VICE-PRESIDENT
Job Description -- The
chapter vice-president assists the president in carrying out chapter tasks
and achieving chapter goals.
Time Commitment -- Time
commitment is variable, likely sporadic and dependent on tasks.

WIU-F / UPI CHAPTER TREASURER
Job
Description -- The treasurer receives and administers the
revenues and expenditures of the chapter. In cooperation with Local 4100
secretary-treasurer, the treasurer shall keep the membership roll and
facilitate collection of Local 4100 dues.
Time Commitment --
Time commitment is fairly steady throughout the academic year, as membership
lists are updated, reconciled and revenues/expenditures are maintained.

Job
Description -- At-large members of the executive committee
assist with chapter policy decisions (within the limits established by
the Local 4100 Constitution and the chapter by-laws), planning chapter
activities and setting chapter goals and for monitoring chapter activities
Time Commitment --
Monthly meetings during the academic year. Variable duties outside of meetings.

HOUSE OF DELEGATES MEMBERS (36

Job Description -- House
of Delegates is the policy-making body for UPI Local 4100.
Time Commitment -- Expected,
at minimum, to attend two meetings each academic year: one meeting
on-campus, and the other in Chicago or some other in-state location.
Compensation -- Duties
