UPI SURS Members:
As you may know, the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) Board of Trustees will hold an election in April. I urge you to cast your ballot for ANTONIO VASQUEZ and RANDALL MILLER.
ANTONIO VASQUEZ is a fellow IFT member in the Cook County College Teachers Union, Local 1600. He is also a current member of the SURS Board of Trustees and an economics professor and chair of the Business Department at Wilbur Wright College.
RANDALL MILLER is an adjunct professor and a member of the Illinois Education Association (IEA). He is also president of the City Colleges Contingent Labor Organizing Committee.
You can count on of both of these experienced, qualified individuals to protect your retirement security and represent your best interests on the SURS Board of Trustees.
Eligible SURS members will receive a ballot and candidate information by the end of March. (The information will be sent either through the mail or electronically, depending on the contact information you have on file with SURS.) You will be able to vote online, by phone, or via mail-in ballot. Voting begins April 1, 2024 and will run through May 1.
